DIVISION

At Cabrini Art House, we envision a community intersection where the legacy of Cabrini's spirit, the essence of William Walker's "For All Mankind" mural, and culture are celebrated, preserved, and reimagined. Our commitment is to transform the historical Strangers Home Missionary Baptist Church into a creative hub. By revitalizing this endangered building, we aim to reconnect displaced creatives with their roots, fostering a space where art, history, and community merge to inspire future generations. The Cabrini Art House stands as a testament to resilience, artistic expression, and a sanctuary for limitless possibilities, ensuring that our stories and achievements are preserved while fostering an environment where new stories and achievements can flourish.

EVERGREEN

IS FOR ALL MAN KIND

A central focus of the Cabrini Art House project is the revitalization of William Walker's celebrated "For All Mankind" mural. Created in 1972 by the renowned African American artist, the mural, much like the neighborhood itself, faced whitewashing in the mid-2010s. Restoring this significant work is crucial to the Art House's mission, underscoring a commitment to reclaiming and celebrating the cultural heritage and history of the community.
